So isn't this such a fun idea for a summer cake smash!? A watermelon! Little C isn't the biggest fan of cake so his mom had a great suggestion of using watermelon instead. I think it turned out so cool! Still messy, still super cute! C sure had fun chewing away. He also stood the longest he's ever stood before on his own. He sure does know how to perform! Happy Birthday C!
I got to spend a little time with these great kids again! And look at those pretty portraits of Miss Susanna! Its always a pleasure working with this family :-)
With the exception of a bit of wind, this session had the most beautiful weather. The light even before the golden hour started was soft and warm, wahoo! It was so great meeting this family and working with them to get some posed and natural shots! We had a lot of fun trying different things. Also, can I just say Baby J's cheeks are some of the cutest cheeks Ive ever seen! Such a happy baby too!
This was my second cake smash set outdoors. I am really liking how they are turning out, especially Sawyer's little circus themed smash! His mom made the beautiful cake and hosted such a great one year old birthday party bash. It was so fun shooting this session surrounded by Sawyer's loved ones all enjoying such a big moment in his life!
It feels like yesterday when I was taking this little cutie's six month photos at park and now she's a year old! I can't believe it! She did so well at this photo session just like she did at her sixth month session. It was windy and freezing and she was still able to show us those cute little smiles! She has such a sweet personality and it was a joy to photograph her again!
I love cake smashes and different stories they tell. Her cake smash was so funny! She started off mostly playing with the frosting but soon she discovered the balloons! We got her untangled from those and let her brothers and sister get in to taste the cake and show her how it's done. The next thing we know she's covered in cake and trying to eat it with a fork! Ha! Soo cute!
