Purple and Ruffles: Natalie's Cake Smash

One year old photo sessions are always super entertaining, especially when it's your own child. Their little personalities are starting to come alive and it's fun to see that through the photos.

Natalie had a great time smiling for her Daddy and sister who stood right behind me the whole time. She also loved exploring the set and trying to eat the pearls! Speaking of eating, this kid had nooooo problem getting right into that cake! It took her a second to get used to the texture but once she realized it actually tasted good she let out an "mmmm" and dug in! She even tried to climb on top of the cake stand.

This shoot brought back so many memories of my oldest daughter's cake smash with the talented Ariel Holcomb Photography. I love how my two daughters are so different yet so alike in that they are happy and love life!

Happy Birthday Natalie and here's to another great year!!

I just want to say a special thanks to the following very talented friends!! Please take a second to visit their shops or message me for their info for super cute handmade items for your little ones!

A Christmas Eve Baby to Welcome in the New Year!

I was so happy when I found out that not only this sweet family had their baby but that they also wanted me to take his newborn photos! There's no better way to start the new year off in photography than getting to photograph a newborn. He was such a good little guy! I had fun discovering ways to photograph his sister and him together too. She was so full of life and spunk. I love that she wanted to be in the basket too. Enjoy the photos and most importantly, welcome baby Vince!

Fortin Family: Windy at the Park

25 mile per hour winds and freezing temperatures didn't stop this couple and their cute dog from coming out to the park and getting some beautiful shots! Thankfully the trees were able to block out the wind and help B from having crazy hair. I was actually able to use the wind  to help create some movement within her hair for some of the couples shots. Love it! They also mentioned that they never really had family photos taken of them before so I am so happy I was able to do this for them. I know they will always remember this freezing windy day for sure ;-).

A Boy on the Move!

The title pretty much sums up this session, ha! All B wanted to do was run and explore our location and that's so awesome. Although, I'm glad B's parents had a few tricks up their sleeves (or iPhone) to help distract B.  I will have to remember to put a few Mickey Mouse Clubhouse songs on my phone because that seemed to really work! What a great learning experience. I really did enjoy this session. They were such a nice and sweet family to work with and I sure do love B's little walk. Too cute!

Siblings and a Suitcase

This session went by so quick, before I knew it time was up. I had such a great time. The funniest moment was when I grabbed the suitcase to use as a prop for them to sit on and the little boy asked where I was going, ha! Too funny. I also loved the moments in between the posed shots where the kids were themselves and playing with their parents. Those to me are the sweetest shots to capture.
